We need a computer to store and edit digital photos. We need a photo-quality printer to
make hard copies. Research shows that the percentage of pictures taken with digital cameras is
rising faster than photos shot on film. Desire to share digital photos on the Internet is helping
to drive the demand up. There are web sites that allow customers to create Internet photo albums
by uploading photos from their PC to a Web site. The newest digital camera produces photos with a
resolution of 3 megapixel. The biggest drawback for digital cameras used to be
low resolution. But at 3 megapixel, the photos are very close to 35mm film quality. With a proper
printer, an 8x10 digital photo will look the same as one taken with a 35mm camera. When they
reach four megapixel and beyond, they will outperform 35mm film. Look for these
digital wonders in the market soon!
